Laine Brew Co. is a Brighton based brewery who as part of The Laine Pub Company own around 60 pubs in Brighton and London. Five of which are microbreweries, brewing small scale craft beer onsite. They also run a bottle shop in Brighton's south lanes, which as well as selling their lovely beers,
sells a line up of merchandise.

Running with the ‘Good Times Brewing’ we've created various lines of merchandise and promotional items for Laine. From glassware to beermats, T-shirts to catalogues, posters and even a truck!

Laine Brew Co.

Laine Brew Co. is a Brighton based brewery who as part of The Laine Pub Company, run thirty-five pubs in Brighton and seventeen in London. Five of which are microbreweries, brewing small scale craft beer onsite. When they wanted to upscale this production (40,000 pints/week) they came to Crush to help them with the visual identity for the brand and an individual look for each of the beers.

We first helped clarify what  they wanted the characteristics of the brewery to be. We are in the middle of a dramatic rise in breweries presently and it felt right to talk about what made them distinctive from the outset.‘Mr Good Times’ struck a chord, a lot of beer is discussed in terms science or production (original gravity, malts, hops), where as being pub owners first and foremost, they understood what it is that brings people into pub, good times, fun and friends. So the look was built around this irreverence for the technique of brewing and instead celebrated the joys of drinking.

Of course being a beer snob/lover myself, this project was a joy to work on. I even learnt to brew as a part of the process. I think the identity works, it’s got standout in the pubs, even when the only real estate could be a 87mm bar lens.
